What to Pack

The weather in this country is not what you are used to. Its a cold and dry climate. It could be in the mid 60's one day and when you wake up the next morning, there could be a foot of snow on the ground. From our experiences, we recommend you pack the following:

  • Knee High Boots
  • Warm Socks
  • Camo Bibs or Coveralls
  • Warm Jacket or Pullover
  • Rain Gear
  • Insulated Under Layer
  • Headlamp / Flashlight
  • Face mask
  • Gloves
  • Shotgun and a Backup Shotgun

Preparing for Travel

1. All US citizens must have a a valid passport when traveling into Canada.

2.You may have 2 Firearms per case and they must be locked.

3.When you fly into Regina International Airport you will fill out a gun declaration that permits you to bring your firearms into Canada. ( We also have guns for rent and ammunition to purchase available at the lodge). Click Here for online form to bring with you

If you are traveling from the East Coast we recommend you fly from your home airport into to Toronto then to Regina. No airline has a nonstop flight into Regina.

Should you choose to drive into Canada, you may do so easiest from Minot, North Dakota, where you will rent a vehicle and drive to the lodge. It is approximately a 3 hour drive to the lodge from Minot.

4.Make sure you have no loose shells in your bag. Canadian customs does not think very highly of this!

5.You may only carry eleven pounds of ammunition when flying.

6.You can bring 200 cigarettes, 200 grams of tobacco, and 1.14 liters of liquor without paying a duty tax on them. Anything over these amounts will be taxed.

7.All hunters must book a hotel room in Regina for their final night of the hunt. Please book your room in advance to ensure vacancy.
